After war with Ethiopia, where Ethiopian Su-27 shoot down couple of Eritrea Mig-29, Eritrea was searching the way how to get some Su-27. In 2002 Eritrea bought two second-hand Su-27 and Su-27UB from Ukraine.
Ukrainan Su-27 bort 35 produced in 1998 year, was given new number – 608. In august 2003 was deliver to Eritrea.
Second aircraft was Su-27UB bort 07 produced in 1991, was given new number – 609. And that aircraft was deliver to Eritrea in 2002.
Very little is know something about this aircrafts, but last info says that they are still able to fly.
